- How is confidence different from the AI score?
+
- The AI score estimates how strongly the text matches AI-generated writing patterns. Confidence estimates how reliable that estimate is for this specific text. They move independently: a long, clearly-structured essay scoring 88% gets high confidence, while a 500-word fragment scoring 52% gets low confidence. Reading the score without the confidence is how people end up over-trusting a coin flip.
Read →- Why won't it scan text under 300 words?
+
- Because the result would not be worth having. Detection relies on statistical patterns across a body of text, and under a few hundred words there is not enough of it — scores swing wildly on near-identical inputs. Rather than return a confident-looking number we decline, tell you the word count, and leave your quota untouched.
Read →- Can a detection result be used to prove someone used AI?
+
- No, and you should treat any tool claiming otherwise as unsafe. Detectors have measured false-positive rates, concentrated among non-native English writers and people writing in plain or technical registers. A result is a reason to look closer — at drafts, version history, a conversation about the material — never a finding on its own. Our terms prohibit using it as sole evidence in a disciplinary matter.
Read →- Does Bypass AI help you cheat?
+
- No. Humanize is a rewriting tool for your own drafts, in the same category as an editing pass. If a rule applies to you — an academic-integrity policy, a publisher's disclosure requirement, an employer's terms — you are responsible for following it, and using the app to get around it breaches our terms of service.
Read →- What does the free plan actually include?
+
- Two scans a day shared across text, image and video, with the reset time shown in the app. You see the full score, the confidence level, the word count, the risk band, one key reason, and the AI / human / mixed distribution. Paid plans unlock unlimited scanning, unlimited Humanize, and the complete signal list with per-signal strength.
- Is my text stored or used for training?
+
- Your text is processed to produce the result and is never used to train AI models, sold, or shared beyond the detection providers needed to run the scan. Your report history is kept on your account so you can reopen past results, and you can delete any report — or your entire account — at any time.
- Does it work on languages other than English?
+
- Detection is calibrated for English and is most reliable there. Other major languages work but carry lower confidence, and the app reports that rather than hiding it. The interface itself is available in several languages.
- What about images and video?
+
- Both are supported and share the same daily quota. Image and video results are reported as an overall likelihood with a short explanation of what drove it. Text is where the detailed signal breakdown and confidence model apply.
